David Lee goes to Beijing

September 1, 2008

I have a good friend who is competing in the paralympics in Beijing for cycling and then raising $10,000 for the Challenged Athlete Foundation and riding from San Fran to San Diego. I had the honor of doing this trip with him as support while working for Trek Travel in 2006. He is an incredible inspiration and I've never met an athlete who doesn't complain...even when you can see that his hands were swollen and his shoulders were aggravated. I am putting this photo on my site so that if you get a laugh or shock from the beauty I displayed in my Halloween costume that day (and yes, I biked about 45 miles in that outfit!) you may be inclined to donate to his cause and the Challenged Athlete Foundation. Click here if you would like to donate to his cause and click on the link below that if you would like to read his update dated September 1st, a few days before he was to get on a plane to head to Beijing to represent the United States.
