All newbies completed their race at the San Antonio Rock n Roll Half Marathon on November 16th. It was a chilly morning followed by perfect marathon weather. Team challenge finishers include left to right front row (seated): Jessica Word, Cynthia Sorrell (marathon finisher); Coach Kt; Yasamin Salehi; Shannon Dannhaus; back row left to right: Lauren Menard; Tracy Knight; John Garza; Kate Guggenheim; Erin Fagan and Heather Jones (team mentor).

Team Challenge (
I have a good friend who is competing in the paralympics in Beijing for cycling and then raising $10,000 for the Challenged Athlete Foundation and riding from San Fran to San Diego. I had the honor of doing this trip with him as support while working for Trek Travel in 2006. He is an incredible inspiration and I've never met an athlete who doesn't complain...even when you can see that his hands were swollen and his shoulders were aggravated. I am putting this photo on my site so that if you get a laugh or shock from the beauty I displayed in my Halloween costume that day (and yes, I biked about 45 miles in that outfit!) you may be inclined to donate to his cause and the Challenged Athlete Foundation.
