Richard Hanke

Age 47, Cyclist, California

Since Jan 2008
Goal – Cycling cross country from California to South Carolina starting September 14th 2008 riding 80 miles a day with only 4 days off. See his daily blog at http://saratogatrek.blogspot.com

"I have worked with Coach White for nine months as I prepared for a 40 day trip across the USA. This cross country trip would require that I ride on average 92 miles a day for a total 3300 miles and 180,000 ft of climbing I had never rode more than 72 miles in any single ride and was mostly a weekend only rider. Since I'm 47 years old I was concerned that I would not be up for the challenge.
Coach Katie helped me understand the requirements and put together a plan that would allow me to do the trip in comfort. She understands the importance of nutrition and diet.
Her expertise and advise has prepared me for my trip and I'm certain I will not have any problems. Coach Kate is the greatest." - Richard -
